Subscription Box: Uppercase Box | #6

Random Fact of the Day: The face of a penny can hold about thirty drops of water.

Hello friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted an unboxing, and honestly that’s just because I forgot to post them last month xD But anyways, better late than never! Today I am here to unbox & review my 6th Uppercase Box!!

Uppercase Box | Young Adult Monthly Book Subscription Box

From Uppercase, every month you’ll get an amazing young adult book that you’ll absolutely love! Every book you get from Uppercase is a brand new, hardcover book that’s signed by the author or comes with a signed bookplate from the author. Every Uppercase book is always published within the last month. It is extremely uncommon for a subscriber to already have a finished copy of the book and it almost never happens.

There are three current options that you can subscribe to:

  • Book Exclusive Plan – $17/month [Brand new hardcover, YA book, signed book or bookplate, reading experience with exclusive content, & a personal hand-written note to you]
  • Expert Plan – $23/month [everything listed from the Book Exclusive Plan, except you also get 1-2 high quality bookish items]
  • Personalized Plan – $29/month [you will fill out a personalized reading profile which is used along with your Goodreads profile (if available) and each month you will receive a book based on YOUR specific reading preferences and tastes. No author content or reading experience]

Since it’s been awhile, I thought I’d recap about my own plan — I am currently subscribed to the Expert Plan and I am really loving it. It’s been half a year since I’ve been subscribed and on a scale from 1-10, 10 being “OH MY GOSH THIS SUBSCRIPTION IS AMAZEBALLS”, I would give my overall experience an 8. Maybe a 7.5. The books that I receive every time are literally NEW releases like they promised and I think that’s the best thing about this subscription. If you are like me and you really love bookish swag and such, I would definitely look at previous unboxings just to make sure you are getting your money’s worth and you actually enjoy the things you see. I’m not saying this subscription box is horrible, but I think Uppercase can definitely “amp it up” with the swag and bookish items. However, with that being said, this sub is still pretty awesome and I still do recommend people to check it out.

Anyways, let’s get to the unboxing:

ITEMS INCLUDED:

  • Uppercase’s Signature Bag
  • The Uppercase and IReadYA Information Card
  • “I Read YA” Pin
  • Hagrid and Buckbeak Bookmarks from BeedooTO (Uppercase Exclusive)
  • Magic Notebook from Literary Emporium
  • Scarlett Epstein Stickers
  • Harry Potter Quote Poster from Risa Rodil (Uppercase Exclusive)
  • Scarlett Epstein Hates it Here by Anna Breslaw – SIGNED

So this list is a little longer than usual and YES, that is a good sign! I love the Harry Potter poster, even though (and PLEASE don’t kill me) I have not read HP and don’t plan to anytime soon. I was honestly SO confused with those bookmarks as well — I was like, “who’s Hagrid?? and Buckbeak???” So yeah, I might be adding that to my “giveaway” pile, lol. As for the pin and stickers, I thought they were really cute. I love pins in general, and stickers are adorable to put on my laptop and such.

I actually wasn’t aware of Anna Breslaw before receiving this novel, however I read the synopsis and it does sound interesting. SO if you are interested in Breslaw’s, definitely check it out!

APRIL UPPERCASE RATING: 4/5

NOTE: In case you guys weren’t aware, the Exclusive Content includes a special code that you can enter on their website to unlock exclusive content, videos from the author, additional backstories, and interact with other Uppercase readers. I personally have not tried this out yet just because I haven’t gotten around to actually reading a book that they’ve sent me. However I do enjoy the idea!

If you have ANY questions or comments, I would love to chat!

*Disclaimer: Uppercase currently ships to U.S. and Canada, including APO addresses and Puerto Rico only.*

Thanks for reading & I’ll see you next time…

  1. Wahhh this subscription box is pretty sweet. I like the packaging, that’s pretty original; never before seen. I also like the fact that they can take into account our Goodreads account. That sure does help a lot in identifying a reader’s interests.

Out of curiosity, why do you not plan on checking out the HP books? 😀 Is it because of the length? By the way, I haven’t read them too, but I do plan on checking out the books once I slowly forget the events from the movies! 😛

    • Yeah, I enjoy the packaging as well because I can use it to store some stationary and such. 😁

As for the HP books, I’m not much of a fantasy reader, & also I must admit when I was younger the length did frighten me. I have considered reading them, so maybe sometime in the near future I shall. I haven’t even watched any of the films, so I guess that’s good too… 😉
