Goodreads Book Tag!

bi-weekly-wrap-up-12Random Quote of the Day: “Real freedom lies in wildness, not in civilization.” – Charles Lindbergh

Hello sunshines! ☀ I’ve been tagged by the wonderful Ace @ All ‘Bout Them Books and Stuff to do the GOODREADS BOOK TAG! I think I’ve already posted this tag, but oh well — Part Two it is! (:

WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK YOU MARKED AS ‘READ’?

18798983THE WRATH AND THE DAWN by Renee Adhieh — my first Diverse book of 2017!

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

I’m actually reading a couple of books right now, which is something I would’ve never done a few years ago, lol. But anyways, I am currently reading GIRL IN PIECES by Kathleen Glasgow and ART AS THERAPY by Alain de Botton.

WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK YOU MARKED AS TBR?

31556153FERAL YOUTH by Shaun David Hutchinson (and nine other Powerhouse authors).

WHAT BOOK DO YOU PLAN TO READ NEXT?

Umm..I’ve actually been in the mood to reread THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER by Stephen Chbosky or even LOOKING FOR ALASKA by John Green. Plus, GR FINALLY has a reread option so that is awesome! (:

DO YOU USE THE STAR SYSTEM?

Yes, I do! Recently I’ve been considering not using the star system since it’s so controversial, but it’s also easier for me to express what I want to say without saying so much. I don’t know, what do you guys think? What system do you use to ‘rate’ your books?

ARE YOU DOING A 2017 READING CHALLENGE?

reading_challenge_banner-221fdb833e3fce18458f2473c2ba67b7-png

Of course! Besides the GR Reading Challenge, I am also taking part in the Read the Books You Buy Challenge! If you are taking part in any other challenges, let me know about your progress!

DO YOU HAVE A WISHLIST?

What kind of reader DOESN’T have a wishlist?? My endless TBR IS my Wishlist, lol. But besides that one, I do have a Wishlist connected to my Amazon account, so if my parents are ever feeling generous they could always check that out…*cough, wink*

WHAT BOOK DO YOU PLAN ON BUYING NEXT?

Any novel from my TBR or wishlist! Or really, any 2017 release because I am so excited for a few! (:

DO YOU HAVE ANY FAVORITE QUOTES? IF SO, SHARE A FEW.

Everyone knows I am quote obsessed, so here are a few of my favorites:

“You can’t admit to someone else what you’re too damn afraid to admit to yourself.” – The Wolf Road, Beth Lewis

“The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive.”― John Green, Looking for Alaska

“Some people exist in your life to make it better. Some people exist to make it worse.”
Nicola Yoon, The Sun Is Also a Star

WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE AUTHORS?

Jennifer Niven, John Green, and Nicola Yoon! Hopefully this list will grow this 2017 — feel free to recommend some YA Contemporary authors! ❤

HAVE YOU JOINED ANY GROUPS?

Ummm…I’ve been semi-invested in a few GR groups, including Blogger Lift, Book Bloggers of GR, etc. I’m not too invested into them, but I’d like to join one more efficiently eventually.

  1. I still haven’t read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and my wishlist scares the hell out of me, haha!

Great tag! I just realised I don’t really have a ‘wishlist’. I just kind of know the books I want in my head, making one might be a good idea though!

  3. I actually kinda enjoyed TWATD. I’ll DM you on Twitter so we can talk about it more.
I might do this tag! It seems cool and I’m in a tag mood (if you get what I mean)

  4. Another tag I’d love to take part in! I’m so stoked for the Goodreads reread option. I haven’t had a chance to reread anything, but I plan on doing at least a couple of rereads this year. I personally use the star system because I find it convenient. Though I will say that I do think that we all assign these ratings value a little differently. A three-star rated book might be a four-star rated one for someone else. I’m so stoked for The Hate U Give!
