The Book Titles Tag!

bi-weekly-wrap-up-12

Random Quote of the Day: “People always call it luck when you’ve acted more sensibly than they have.” – Anne Tyler

Hello sunshines! 🔆

The month is more than half way over so I did want to remind you all that I am currently hosting a GIVEAWAY for a $10 USD Amazon Gift Card! A second winner will be chosen if I gain 600 WP Followers AND 950 Twitter Followers! Make sure to check out my BLOGIVERSARY POST for more details and be sure to ENTER THE GIVEAWAY!!

For today’s post I will be attempting to complete THE BOOK TITLES Tag! I saw this post originally on @ Lost In A Story and it looked really fun! To complete this tag, you simply answer each question/statement with a title of a book! Let’s get started, shall we? ⬇️

1. TITLE THAT’S THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE

Image result for falling into place amy zhangI really liked Lia’s response with THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER by Stephen Chbosky, but I didn’t want to put the same thing xD Instead, I think I’m going to go with FALLING INTO PLACE by Amy Zhang — I’d like to think that eventually things will figure themselves out and my life with fall into place!

2. TITLE THAT DESCRIBES YOUR PERFECT WEEKEND

THE REALM OF POSSIBILITY by David Levithan — an endless weekend with tons of options and possibilities to get away!

Top Ten Tuesday Past Editions [#42]

bi-weekly-wrap-up-6

Random Quote of the Day: “I didn’t really say everything I said.”- Yogi Berra

Hello sunshines! 🔆 Today I am taking the opportunity to tackle some past TTT topics that I missed! Since school I starting up soon (sadly), I decided to talk about the BACK TO SCHOOL Freebie! I don’t know about you, but I LOVE back-to-school shopping! With that being said, I am listing TEN FAVORITE BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES!

PLANNERS

If you struggle with organization and procrastination and truly suggest that you Screenshot (7)invest in a planner! It doesn’t have to be anything special and if you don’t want to purchase one, there are a ton of DIY templates online! I use my planner daily as I write down homework assignments, deadlines, and lots of other useful notes. Some of my favorite planners are: PASSION PLANNER, PLANNERS FROM TARGET, or the BULLET JOURNAL system! I currently own a BUJO so if anyone is interested in a flip-through, definitely let me know in the comments!

ZEBRA MILDLINERS

IMG_5632I recently found these beauties and I love them SO much. They come in various colors and they do not bleed through the paper UNLESS you apply several layers. Mildliners are essentially highlighters, but I use it for notes, quick sketches, and other minimal designs. These mildliners are double ended — one side with a bold chisel tip and the other being a thin fine point. I bought mine on AMAZON, but I’m sure you can find them other places online. I’m not sure if they are sold in stores since they are a Japanese brand, but let me know if they have them in stores near you!!

Friday Finds [Aug. 4th]

bi-weekly-wrap-up-8

Random Quote of the Day: “Insane people are always sure that they are fine. It is only the sane people who are willing to admit that they are crazy.” – Nora Ephron

Hello sunshines! 🔆 It is officially Friday!! I hope everyone had a worthwhile week and if not, here’s your chance to make up for such a boring week with the weekend!! Friday Finds is a meme hosted by @adailyrhythm. It is a chance for you to showcase the books you’ve ‘found’ and added to your TBR list! They do not have to be books you purchased and they could’ve been found anywhere — bookstores, online, library, etc. I don’t know how many Finds I’ll actually be sharing today just because this week has been pretty crazy and hence, I haven’t had much time to venture through GR to discover new Finds. But anyways, here’s what I HAVE found since my last Friday Finds (:

Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?

Amanda Hardy is the new girl in school in Lambertville, Tennessee. Like any other girl, all she wants is to make friends and fit in. But Amanda is keeping a secret. There’s a reason why she transferred schools for her senior year, and why she’s determined not to get too close to anyone. And then she meets Grant Everett. Grant is unlike anyone she’s ever met—open, honest, kind—and Amanda can’t help but start to let him into her life. As they spend more time together, she finds herself yearning to share with Grant everything about herself…including her past. But she’s terrified that once she tells Grant the truth, he won’t be able to see past it…

Happy Bookaholic Tag!

bi-weekly-wrap-up-12

Random Quote of the Day: “Be a fountain, not a drain.” – Rex Hudler

Hello sunshines! 🔆 I actually haven’t done a tag in such a long time but I am a excited to do this one! THE HAPPY BOOKAHOLIC tag is created by about Happy Books on Youtube and it was originally posted so that we could talk about books and why/how we buy them!! This is my favorite hobby to do on my spare time and why not share it with everyone?? (:

1. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT BUYING NEW BOOKS?

Image result for buying books gifI love buying books because it makes me happy. I know this is the cliche answer that you were expecting, but it definitely does make me happy. It’s something that I look forward to — visiting the bookstore, or even shopping online. Now, this may be the reason why I am extremely broke and I haven’t bought books in a while, but the idea of buying books makes me even happier!! (:

2. HOW OFTEN DO YOU BUY NEW BOOKS?

Well, when I wasn’t AS broke as I am now, I used to buy books maybe every other month? It was crazy how much I bought books but in the end it made me HAPPY and that’s all that matters!

My Etsy Shop is Live!!

bi-weekly-wrap-up-16

Random Quote of the Day: “That is the saving grace of humor, if you fail no one is laughing at you.” – A. Whitney Brown

Hello sunshines! 🔆 I have an exciting announcement for you all!! It’s only taken me a few months and a TON of research, but my ETSY SHOP IS NOW LIVE!!

If you don’t know what ETSY is, it is an online marketplace for individuals to express their creativity by putting their products on sale for others to see.

“An Etsy Economy empowers artists, designers and curators to start and grow businesses on their own terms. It’s an ecosystem that connects buyers around the world to the communities where Etsy shop owners live, work and create.”

Etsy LogoA SKETCH OF JESS is a place for anyone of any age to shop for some awesome paintings! Products include paintings of all sizes and styles, and I am extremely happy to be sharing them within my community AND internationally!

Right now, shipping costs are all their all time LOW starting at $4.67 USD. These rates will increase/decrease for those that are international, but Etsy allows you calculate the cost when you click on the item you want. Of course, I am always here to offer ANY information or concerns you may have for all I want is customer satisfaction!

If you can’t purchase anything for yourself, that is always okay! It would mean the world to me if you would still visit my shop and give it a “Like” for it still shows that you like what you see!

Thank you SO much for your endless support, and again, CHECK OUT MY SHOP!! ❤

P.S. I’m running this poll right now on Twitter and I’d love YOUR input as well. If you don’t have Twitter, feel free to comment your response below. Here’s the question I proposed:

Is It Summer Yet? | April BWWU

bi-weekly-wrap-up-20

Random Quote of the Day: “The deeper sorrow carves into your being the more joy you can contain.” – Kahlil Gibran

Hello sunshines! ☀ This month has been nothing but hectic and I am super glad I’m getting the chance to do a small recap for you guys, but also for myself!

FullSizeRender (62)

  • Lent is almost over and therefore I will be back on Twitter and Instagram starting sometime next week!! I’ve missed interacting with you on there, so I’m excited to get back to it!
  • There is so much to be done in such little time and I feel so rushed for school and such. But on the bright side every day is a day closer to summer!!
  • I took the ACT last weekend so that was another weight lifted off of my shoulders. It wasn’t as difficult as I thought, but that might just mean that I answered all the wrong answers xD
  • I applied for the Experience Berkeley Program a few weeks ago, so I’ll be waiting for a reply in late May! *fingers crossed I got accepted* 😅
  • I’m still looking for a possible summer job — I tried looking for one at my local library but right now they don’t have any applications available *sigh* But once there is one, I will definitely be applying!!
