Random Quote of the Day: “Everybody hates me because I’m so universally liked.” – Peter de Vries
Hello sunshines! 🔆 Despite my miniature hiatus for the past few weeks, I’ve still been semi-active on the Twitter and therefore have found some more novels to add to my TBR! I don’t really remember what I’ve been adding to the list, so this post will be a good reminder and will hopefully get me out of this reading slump…
They tell me that my memory will never be the same, that I’ll start forgetting things. At first just a little, and then a lot. So I’m writing to remember. Sammie was always a girl with a plan: graduate at the top of her class and get out of her small town as soon as humanly possible. Nothing will stand in her way–not even a rare genetic disorder the doctors say will slowly start to steal her memories and then her health. What she needs is a new plan…
Five went in. Four came out. No one knows what happened that morning at River Point. Five boys went hunting. Four came back. The boys won’t say who fired the shot that killed their friend; the evidence shows it could have been any one of them…

Hello sunshines! 🔆 It brings such joy to me as I get to say that it is FINALLY FRIDAY!! Friday’s are always good as it is the last day of the weekdays and the start of the weekend! Friday Finds is a meme hosted by @adailyrhythm. It is a chance for you to showcase the books you’ve ‘found’ and added to your TBR list! They do not have to be books you purchased and they could’ve been found anywhere — bookstores, online, library, etc. Here’s what I’ve found since my last Friday Finds (:
Five hundred great works of art from all periods and regions in the world have been carefully selected and are arranged in chronological order, breaking through the usual geographical and cultural boundaries of art history to celebrate the vast range of human artistry.
Grace wants out. Out of her house, where her stepfather wields fear like a weapon and her mother makes her scrub imaginary dirt off the floors. Out of her California town, too small to contain her big city dreams. Out of her life, and into the role of Parisian artist, New York director—anything but scared and alone. Enter Gavin: charming, talented, adored. Controlling. Dangerous. When Grace and Gavin fall in love, Grace is sure it’s too good to be true. She has no idea their relationship will become a prison she’s unable to escape…

Hello sunshines! 🔆 How are you all on this lovely Wednesday? It is the last full week of April and I am so read for this month to be over! I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot lately, but I’m hoping the more I say it the faster it’ll come true 😅 Anyways, Which Cover Wednesday is a post hosted by Sumaya @suereadingcorner. For this post, you choose two different covers of the same book — the books can have different publishers, different formats, etc. Then you decide which one you think is more appealing. I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before, but if you guys ever have theme recommendations or recs in general for WCW, please feel free to comment them! Let’s get onto the debate!
INTO THE WATER BY PAULA HAWKINS
I love, love, love the first cover. The colors are vibrant, the graphics are clear, and whole cover is cohesive all together. The second cover is okay, but I love the detail of the first cover.
Random Quote of the Day: “To love deeply in one direction makes us more loving in all others.” – Anne-Sophie Swetchine
Hello sunshines! 🔆 I am officially back with another book tag: The Spring Has Sprung! I know I am a little late with the start of Spring, but it’s okay because it’s still Spring here!! 🌻
💐 FLOWERS 💐
Look on your shelves. What is the most beautiful book both inside and out?
THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR by Nicola Yoon!! I think the cover goes well with the Spring-theme as it has so many bright colors! I love this novel, Yoon, and the cover so I think this one is a perfect fit (:
🌱 GRASS 🌱
What is a book that you find others like way more than you do?
WE WERE LIARS by E. Lockhart. I know not EVERYONE likes this novel, but a ton of people have told me to “give it another try”. I just couldn’t get into the beginning and I felt disconnected from the characters.
☔️ RAIN ☔️
What’s a great book that lifts your spirits when you’re down?
There’s so many that I could choose for this one, but it would only make sense if I chose ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES by Jennifer Niven. Now don’t get the wrong message — ATBP isn’t the happiest novel, however I love it so much and the characters that it still brings a smile to my face!
Random Quote of the Day: “We think in generalities, but we live in detail.” – Alfred North Whitehead
Hello sunshines! 🔆 It is finally Friday and I could not be happier! I hope you all had an amazing week and you got a lot of your responsibilities completed! I am back with another Friday Finds, so let’s get to it!
Part romance, part love letter to nerd culture, and all totally adorbs, Geekerella is a fairy tale for anyone who believes in the magic of fandom. Geek girl Elle Wittimer lives and breathes Starfield, the classic sci-fi series she grew up watching with her late father. So when she sees a cosplay contest for a new Starfield movie, she has to enter. The prize? An invitation to the ExcelsiCon Cosplay Ball, and a meet-and-greet with the actor slated to play Federation Prince Carmindor in the reboot…
Megan Henske isn’t one to heed warnings…When the last letters in her alphabet cereal are D, I, and E, she doesn’t crawl right back into bed. When her online girlfriend won’t text a photo, she just sends more of herself. And when she realizes that Cynthia, her boss at a Chicago ghost tour company, isn’t joking about making stops more haunted by killing people there, she doesn’t quit her job—she may even help…

Hello sunshines! 🔆 We are halfway through the week and I am already ready for it to be Friday!! I am going two for two as I am posting a WCW week to week (surprise, surprise 😅)
LABYRINTH LOST BY ZORAIDA CORDOVA
You guys know that I go crazy for the color purple, but the first cover is also pretty good as the colors are pretty contrasting. However, how many covers do we have in YA that have a female on it? Yeah, so I’m going with the second cover!
Random Quote of the Day: “Do not bite at the bait of pleasure till you know there is no hook beneath it.” – Thomas Jefferson
Hello sunshines! 🔆 It is finally Friday and I could not be happier to be home and somewhat care-free! I’m really not sure if I have many Finds to share, but I guess we’ll see, lol.
It’s time to meet your new roomie. When East Coast native Elizabeth receives her freshman-year roommate assignment, she shoots off an e-mail to coordinate the basics: television, microwave, mini-fridge. That first note to San Franciscan Lauren sparks a series of e-mails that alters the landscape of each girl’s summer — and raises questions about how two girls who are so different will ever share a dorm room…
“Something does exist. I saw. It’s a place. Like this but different.” “Okay, so let’s say we do reach her, that something like that is even possible. Then what?” “Then we ask her to come back.” Eden: As far as coma patients go, Eden’s lucky. She woke up. But still, she can’t shake the feeling that she might have dragged something back from the near-afterlife.
Joe: Joe visits the hospital every day, hoping that Jaz, his lifelong friend, will wake up…
