Random Quote of the Day: “Age does not protect you from love. But love, to some extent, protects you from age.” – Jeanne Moreau

Hello sunshines! 🔆 We are halfway through the week and I am already ready for it to be Friday!! I am going two for two as I am posting a WCW week to week (surprise, surprise 😅)

You guys know that I go crazy for the color purple, but the first cover is also pretty good as the colors are pretty contrasting. However, how many covers do we have in YA that have a female on it? Yeah, so I’m going with the second cover!

The Bucket List Tag!

bi-weekly-wrap-up-12

Random Quote of the Day: “Keeping score of old scores and scars, getting even and one-upping, always make you less than you are.” – Malcolm Forbes

Hello sunshines and Happy Monday! 🔆 I thought I’d start this week with a fun little tag: THE BUCKET LIST TAG! When I was younger I was completely obsessed with bucket lists, and now that I get to list a few I am pretty excited! (;

This tag was created by Serenity Books. THE RULES:

  • Write the rules in your post
  • Thank the person who tagged you
  • Write ten things that you wish to do in the future
  • Tag 5 other bloggers to do this tag

P.S. I wasn’t tagged by anyone, lol. No surprise! xD

10 THINGS ON MY BUCKET LIST 📋

[1.] See Adele in concert. Now, I know she has a child and she’s probably not going to be hosting any concerts anytime soon, but I still have my hopes!

[2.] Visit the Van Gogh Museum. If you’ve been here for a while you know Van Gogh is one of my favorite painters of all time, so to be able to see all of his works in one room is extremely ideal!! I also want to go to Amsterdam, so that’s a two in one deal!

[3.] Have my own in-home library. This is pretty self-explanatory as every book lover probably wants this as well.

Captivating Covers [#28]

bi-weekly-wrap-up-10

Random Quote of the Day: “The deeper sorrow carves into your being the more joy you can contain.” – Kahlil Gibran

Hello sunshines! 🔆 Ya know, it really seems as if so many 2017 releases have amazing covers!! Yay, 2017! With that being said, today I am sharing a not-yet released novel, but I guess that just adds to the anticipation!! 😀

Captivating Covers is a meme created by me — @JBelkBooks. Every week or so, I share a cover of a novel that I find to be Captivating. It doesn’t have to be one you’ve read, just one that you enjoy! You can add your own twist to it, but I like to include the book synopsis & book details. So, I created this meme to share my findings with you all! 📚

Title: Bad Romance

Author: Heather Demetrios

Genre: Young-Adult, Contemporary

Published: June 13th, 2017

Guys I’m telling you, every time I look at this cover I am continuously in awe. The cover reflects the synopsis of the novel finely and I enjoy how almost…”raw” it looks? It’s so simple yet very complex in meaning and I love that about this cover. I’ve personally never seen a cover like so, so that’s also a plus! 🌱🌾

Friday Finds [Apr. 7th]

bi-weekly-wrap-up-8

Random Quote of the Day: “Do not bite at the bait of pleasure till you know there is no hook beneath it.” – Thomas Jefferson

Hello sunshines! 🔆 It is finally Friday and I could not be happier to be home and somewhat care-free! I’m really not sure if I have many Finds to share, but I guess we’ll see, lol.

It’s time to meet your new roomie. When East Coast native Elizabeth receives her freshman-year roommate assignment, she shoots off an e-mail to coordinate the basics: television, microwave, mini-fridge. That first note to San Franciscan Lauren sparks a series of e-mails that alters the landscape of each girl’s summer — and raises questions about how two girls who are so different will ever share a dorm room…

“Something does exist. I saw. It’s a place. Like this but different.” “Okay, so let’s say we do reach her, that something like that is even possible. Then what?” “Then we ask her to come back.” Eden: As far as coma patients go, Eden’s lucky. She woke up. But still, she can’t shake the feeling that she might have dragged something back from the near-afterlife.
Joe: Joe visits the hospital every day, hoping that Jaz, his lifelong friend, will wake up…

Which Cover Wednesday [#28]

bi-weekly-wrap-up-7

Random Quote of the Day: “They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” – Andy Warhol

Hello sunshines! 🔆 I am very happy to say that we are halfway through this week — next thing you know it’ll be the weekend! It’s been a couple weeks since I’ve posted a WCW, so I am back with another one! Which Cover Wednesday is a post hosted by Sumaya @suereadingcorner. For this post, you choose two different covers of the same book — the books can have different publishers, different formats, etc. Then you decide which one you think is more appealing. I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before, but if you guys ever have theme recommendations or recs in general for WCW, please feel free to comment them!😀 Let’s get onto the debate! ⚔

Hmmm I don’t know, both are pretty unique in their own ways. I enjoy the graphic on the first cover, but the second cover has a great font. However, I think I’m going to go with the first cover because I enjoy the tagline more xD

Top Ten Tuesday [#39]

bi-weekly-wrap-up-6

Random Quote of the Day: “We can lick gravity, but sometimes the paperwork is overwhelming” – Wernher von Braun

Hello sunshines!🔆 How are you all doing today? Today was pretty warm here in California but we all know it could be raining tomorrow 😅 This week’s TTT is pretty intriguing as I get to remind myself all of what websites that I can never visit unless I want to checkout and be broke for the rest of my life, lol. This Tuesday’s Topic is Sites to Find Fandom Merch! (notice that I did not put TEN sites as I don’t know of that many!)

ETSY

Most of us are familiar with Etsy as it is a site filled with other things to purchase besides Fandom-related items. However, I do warn you that once you get on this site you’ll probably be scrolling for several hours as it is VERY addicting! I personally love Etsy for everything Fandom, but also phone cases, stationary supplies, etc.

Some Favorite Shops: HappyHelloCo. | Jane’s Tiny Things | Frostbeard

REDBUBBLE

Another addicting site indeed, however this one doesn’t have as much as Etsy. But don’t get me wrong, the creativity is still definitely there!! On RB they have items such as T-shirts to dresses to laptop cases!

Some Favorite Designers: Jasmine Pearl Raymundo | eviebookish | Dan Elijah Fajardo

DST Really Messed Me Up…| March Wrap-Up

bi-weekly-wrap-up-19

Random Quote of the Day: “Don’t let your sorrow come higher than your knees.”- Swedish Proverb

Hello sunshines! ☀ We are officially at the end March and I am already ready for April to be over with 😅 DST (Daylight Savings Time) really did mess up my sleeping patterns, but now that it is the beginning of April, I am better at waking up in the morning xD Last month was definitely an interesting one, so here’s what did and didn’t happen this March!

THE BOOKS

CANDIDE BY VOLTAIRE

MY RATING: 3 out of 5 stars

Image result for candide voltaire

I am super sad and disappointed that I did not get the chance to get to my March DBOTM — I was really excited to be able to get to this month’s book, however I am going to really try and read my March AND April DBOTM this upcoming month!! I’ve been assigned so much reading for school that I haven’t had time to read my DBOTM’s ☹

THE ART

Quick question: Would anyone actually consider purchasing any of my past artworks? My mom was asking why I don’t sell my artwork on Etsy and I never really considered it. But if a good amount of people say yes, then I might invest into that. So, definitely let me know! (:
