Captivating Covers [#28]

Random Quote of the Day: “The deeper sorrow carves into your being the more joy you can contain.” – Kahlil Gibran

Hello sunshines! 🔆 Ya know, it really seems as if so many 2017 releases have amazing covers!! Yay, 2017! With that being said, today I am sharing a not-yet released novel, but I guess that just adds to the anticipation!! 😀

Captivating Covers is a meme created by me — @JBelkBooks. Every week or so, I share a cover of a novel that I find to be Captivating. It doesn’t have to be one you’ve read, just one that you enjoy! You can add your own twist to it, but I like to include the book synopsis & book details. So, I created this meme to share my findings with you all! 📚

Title: Bad Romance

Author: Heather Demetrios

Genre: Young-Adult, Contemporary

Published: June 13th, 2017

Guys I’m telling you, every time I look at this cover I am continuously in awe. The cover reflects the synopsis of the novel finely and I enjoy how almost…”raw” it looks? It’s so simple yet very complex in meaning and I love that about this cover. I’ve personally never seen a cover like so, so that’s also a plus! 🌱🌾

Title(s): Pride and Prejudice, Emma, & Sense and Sensibility

Author: Jane Austen

Genre: Classic, Fiction

Okay, if you don’t think these covers are beautiful then we can’t be friends and you are crazy I happily except your opinion. I love anything watercolor, and these are so simple yet very complex in the sense that they aren’t your average graphics. Watercolor is a troublesome medium (at least for myself), so I highly respect the illustrator of these classics!

Title: We Are Okay

Author: Nina Lacour

Genre: Young-Adult, Contemporary, LGBTQ+

Published: February 14th, 2017

Another 2017 Diverse read that should definitely be on your TBR! I had the chance to hear Lacour talk about this novel in person AND see the ARC, and this novel sounds amazing! The cover has almost a comic-feel to it, but I love the artsy representation and the contrasting pink-ish and blue colors. Captivating Covers [#23]

Random Fact of the Day: It takes 17 muscles to smile, 43 to frown. (so, smile more!!)

Hello sunshines! 🔆 It’s been SO long since I’ve shared a Captivating Cover! I think it’s partially because of all the giveaway/promo posts I’ve been doing. But besides that, today I am here to share another cover in our book community that is just a pure beauty. As always, feel free to recommend some in the comments! (:

Captivating Covers is a meme created by me — @JBelkBooks. I don’t know if it’s just me, but sometimes I buy books just because of the cover. So, I created this meme to share my findings! 📚

Once a week, you can showcase ‘captivating’ book covers that you came across! They do not have to be purchased by you and they could’ve been found anywhere — bookstores, libraries, online, etc. Have fun with this and make sure to comment a link below to your own Captivating Covers!

💭 IMAGINE THIS: A watercolor-ish cover with such a great color scheme. A cover that makes you think of something…magical? Almost like a dream. Two lifestyles coming together in one cover — urban & rural. Just to think that the cover has SO much to do with the synopsis of the book itself (my favorite type of covers)! What book am I referring to?

Title: All We Have Left

Author: Wendy Mills

Genre: Young-Adult, Contemporary, Historical Fiction

Published: August 9th, 2016

WHAT DID I TELL YOU??! I would love to buy this book just for the cover, but I actually found the book itself to be pretty intriguing! This book currently has 4.39 stars on Goodreads! And in case contemporary is a turn-off for you, it is about historical fiction, so feel free to read the synopsis below to find out if this book is for you! 😉

Check out the synopsis below for ALL WE HAVE LEFT!

Captivating Covers [#22] | One of Many Captivating Trilogies

rsz_blog-pics-part-2_block_4

Random Fact of the Day: The first product to have a bar code was Wrigley’s gum.

Hello sunshines! 🔆 It always makes me a little bit more happy when I type this post up, just because pretty book covers are amazzzzing!! Anyways, Captivating Covers is a meme created by me — @JBelkBooks.

💭 IMAGINE THIS: A fantasy series. Heck, that should’ve sold you already just because fantasy novels tend to have better covers (in my opinion). All three book covers in the trilogy are similar, which means that there wasn’t a cover change mid-series. Isn’t that a miracle?? All three are so mesmerizing that you can’t decide which one is better! Which one of the many fantasy trilogies am I referring to?

Title: The Colours of Madeleine Trilogy

Author: Jaclyn Moriarty

Genre: Young-Adult, Fantasy, Adventure

Published: (book 1) April 1st, 2013

THEY LOOK SO GOOD TOGETHER, OH MY GLOB!!! It may be because I am OBSESSED with the sky in general, but I love, love, love the color schemes used for all three. Not only that, but the font is so mystical and goes so well with the “fantasy” theme. We all know I’m not a big fantasy reader, but this trilogy would definitely be a cover-buy 😉

Check out the synopsis below for A Corner of White (Book 1) by Jaclyn Moriarty!
