My First Book Haul of 2017!

Random Quote of the Day: “An unhurried sense of time is in itself a form of wealth.” – Bonnie Friedman

Hello sunshines! 🔆 I am super proud of myself so far this 2017 as I have barely purchased any novels for the past 3 months. However, I was sent a few for review, won a couple via giveaways, and received some from Uppercase, so that is what I will be sharing with you all today! None of the novels today were technically “purchased” outside of my norm (subscription boxes), so that was pretty awesome (: Let’s get to it!

PUCK by Kim Askew and Amy Holmes // GIRL IN PIECES by Kathleen Glasgow

Last Haul of 2016! | Books, Funkos, etc.

Random Fact of the Day: The Taj Mahal took 20 years and 20 thousand men to finish.

Hello sunshines! 🔆 It’s been a good 3-4 months since I’ve posted a book haul, so here I am with my accumulative haul from October-December! Most of these novels were accumulated this month because of the holiday season, but a few were sent via subscription box, review, etc. So, that’s how I’ll be sectioning this haul.

  • The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon
  • Ever the Hunted by Erin Summerill
  • Vassa In the Night by Sarah Porter

  • Death By Roses by Vivian R. Probst

  • The Midnight Society by Rhonda Shermon

A Very, VERY Big Collective Book Haul!

Random Fact of the Day: The ant can lift things 10 times its own weight.

Hello sunshines! Okay, brace yourself. Put on some good music, drink some hot (or cold) tea, and get snug…because this Book Haul is the biggest I’ve ever done on this blog. This is both a good and bad thing, for I bought/received SOO many awesome novels this month and last month. However, that isn’t too good for my pockets & my parents’ bank accounts… xD So yes, this is a collective haul from both May* and June!

*This does include my Haul from YALLWest, but only the ones that I received/purchased. I am not re-hauling the ones I got signed. If you are interested in those, check out my discussion.

Since this is going to be a fairly long post, let’s just get into the books!

From left, then top to bottom:

  • What Light by Jay Asher (ARC)
  • The School for Good and Evil: Part 1 by Soman Chainani
  • The School for Good and Evil: Part 2 by Soman Chainani
  • Velva Jean Learns to Drive by Jennifer Niven
  • City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
  • Scarlett Epstein Hates it Here by Anna Breslaw (Uppercase)

Book Haul! | April

FullSizeRender (2)

Random Fact of the Day: Tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world, after water.

Hello friends and welcome to another Book Haul! Just a warning, you may be seeing another book haul this month since I am definitely going to YALLWest!! If you missed that post, you can check it out HERE.

Anyways, about a week ago or so I went to Berkeley in CA (where I live) and I came across this new/used bookstore called Pegasus Books!! I was with my family and we were planning to eat at this pizza place next door, and I saw Pegasus Books. I was so happy when I went inside because I honestly didn’t know what to expect — the only bookstores I go to are really local, like Barnes & Nobles. To my surprise this bookstore was AWESOME. All their used novels didn’t even remotely looked “used” and they were half their original price. Also, the amount of novels that I found in the “used” section that I actually wanted to read was ridiculous! I purchased so many amazing novels, that I have to share them with you guys today:

Now before you start freaking out with, “JESALIN THEY HAD REBEL OF THE SANDS IN THE USED SECTION????!?”, no, they did not, lol. Rebel of the Sands was from my Uppercase Box, HOWEVER I do recall them having ROTS in their ‘New Releases’ section. Eleanor was hauled maybe a month ago for review purposes, but I never included it in a actual haul, lol. So yes, in all I actually BOUGHT 6 novels.

  1. Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Grey (“used” but in new condition)
  2. Every You, Every Me by David Levithan (“used” but in new condition)
  3. The Young Elites by Marie Lu (“used” but in good condition)
  4. George by Alex Gino (new)
  5. The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton (“used” but in new condition)
  6. Persuasion by Jane Austen (new)

FullSizeRender (2)Like mentioned before, I am very impressed with the bookstore. They had a lot of newish novels in their used section, but I was only purchasing the ones I’ve had on my TBR or ones that I actually knew about. I definitely want to go back when I can because while they had great used books, they also had recent new releases. So, they are very much worth the 2-ish hour drive from my house! xD

Oh! And before I forget, they were also kind enough to give me these bookmarks & coupon along with my purchase, so thank you again Pegasus Books!

DISCLAIMER: As I know of, Pegasus Books is only located in Oakland, CA and Berkeley, CA. But they do have an online store, so be sure to check that out if you are interested. Also, I am no way an affiliate of Pegasus Books, I just randomly came across their store.

And that is all for this wonderful April Book Haul! Did you read any of these novels yet? Have you hauled any novels this April? Chat with me in the comments!

Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next time…

Book Haul! | March

Hello, hello, hello! Before the week starts to go downhill, I thought I’d make today a little better by finally posting my March Book Haul. As you may know, I’ve been on a book-buying ban since the beginning of this year and it does feel wonderful knowing that I can go at least 2 months without purchasing books, lol. But thank Book Outlet for having a HUGE sale in February and for sending me a $5 off coupon!! Anyways, so that is my reason for purchasing books…and also because you can never go wrong with buying books 😀

Like I said before, I did purchase ALL of these novels from Book Outlet, with an exception of two of the novels that I will be showing — one is for review purposes sent to me from the author herself, and the other is via Uppercase. But without further blabberings, here are the novels that I purchased this February/March:

Starting from top left to bottom right:

  1. Suicide Notes from Beautiful Girls by Lynn Weingarten
  2. We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach
  3. The Nicholas Sparks Holiday Collection: True Believer, At First Sight, & A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks
  4. Every Day by David Levithan
  5. Unremembered by Jessica Brody
  6. The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer Smith
  7. I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga
  8. My True Love Gave to Me by many, many authors; edited by Stephanie Perkins
  9. Starflight by Melissa Landers [sent in Uppercase box]
  10. Just a Few Inches by Tara St. Pierre [sent from author for review]
  11. Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick

IMG_9271Again, I purchased ALL of these novels from Book Outlet with an exception for #9 & #11. Some of these novels have been on my TBR for a while, so I thought it was about time I purchased them and gave them a wonderful home on my bookshelves. I am extremely happy and grateful to be buying books again — it feels awesome! Thanks again to Book Outlet for having an amazing sale!!

And that is all for this month’s haul (maybe?)! I hope you all enjoyed and if you have any comments or questions in regards to anything shown above, don’t be scared to chat with me down below in the comments!

Have you posted a book haul this month? Do you have a CRAZY obsession like me?

Thanks for reading & I’ll see you next time…
