Random Fact of the Day: Baby whales grow at an average rate of 10lbs per hour.

Hello sunshines!! I hope everyone had/is having an amazing weekend!! Today I am here to end my weekend with a Feature with Followers post!

Feature with Followers is a weekly meme created by JBelkBooks (me) in which I will be showcasing one of my AMAZING followers. This gives me an opportunity to really get to know them and give them an opportunity to get their blogs out there in the community. The way I choose my featured follower is Top Secret, so wait for your chance to be featured! [If you think there is someone out there worthy of being showcased that I haven’t shared yet, definitely shoot me something in the comments that provides the blogger’s name and URL, and I will be sure to check them out!!]

I am now accepting requests for YOU to be a Featured Follower in my Feature with Followers posts!! (Yes, YOU, reading this!!) For more details, click HERE.

ONE FOLLOWER OF MANY. WHO COULD IT BE?

  • You may know this blogger from her previous blog, Up ‘Til Midnight.
  • She is the host for #yafeministchat
  • She recently posted a review for Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi!

ABOUT KRISTEN: Hello! My name’s Kristen Carter. I’m a twenty-something college student. I’m studying to be a publicist. Besides that, I love to dabble in anything and everything creative!

CONTINUE READING FOR THE Q&A WITH KRISTEN!

ME: When did your blogging journey begin and why did you decide to start?

KRISTEN: I began blogging about two years ago. I started blogging because I was bored and unemployed. I had a blog called Blissful Bookworm but I deleted it because it wasn’t me. I felt like I was just doing things because they were popular instead of doing what I wanted to do.

ME: I noticed that you are a writer (and a soon-to-be debut author 😉)! As a writer, what do you think is the most challenging and/or most fun part of it all?

K:  I think that the most challenging part of writing is converting the picture inside my head onto paper. I want it to be just as good as it is inside my head. And the most fun of writing is worldbuilding! I love creating new characters and worlds.

[I ALWAYS have this issue when it comes to painting!! I always have these elaborate pictures in my head, but when it times to transfer my thoughts onto the canvas (or in Kristen’s case, paper), it’s very difficult.]

ME: Besides reading, writing, and blogging, what else do you do with your spare time?

K: I used to dabble in photography but now I’m so busy with school. So I haven’t been able to get back into it, but that’s another passion of mine.

[Oo, yes, photography is awesome!! Another hobby that I’m sure Kristen is GREAT at 😉 ]

ME: We are more than halfway through 2016. Have you accomplished anything major and/or memorable?

K: I just reached 40+ WordPress followers! I know that’s not a lot but I only update my blog here and there. So the fact that people follow me regardless is amazing to me.

[Wow, wow, WOW congratulations, Kristen!! I know when I started blogging I was excited just to have 10 followers, so I’m really happy your follower count is growing!!]

ME: Here’s the last question just for fun: Would you rather explore a new planet or the deepest parts of the ocean? Why?

K: I would rather explore a new planet! One, I can’t swim and two, it’s so scary creatures in the deep parts of the oceans.

[Hahah, I don’t know which I’d pick, but you have a good reason for not exploring the ocean xD ]

MAKE SURE YOU GO CHECK OUT (+ follow) KRISTEN’S BLOG!!! I love her book reviews and how honest she is in them. Not only are you supporting a fellow blogger, but also a to-be debut author!! Kristen will have a whole section on her blog dedicated to her writing, so make sure you check it out if you are looking to read some awesomeness!

Here are some of her most recent posts:
