Random Fact of the Day: It is possible to see a rainbow at night.

Hello sunshines! Today I am back, back again with another FWF post! Before we get started, here’s a little background about FWF (in case this is your first time):

Feature with Followers is a weekly meme created by JBelkBooks (me) in which I will be showcasing one of my AMAZING followers. This gives me an opportunity to really get to know them and give them an opportunity to get their blogs out there in the community. The way I choose my featured follower is Top Secret, so wait for your chance to be featured! [If you think there is someone out there worthy of being showcased that I haven’t shared yet, definitely shoot me something in the comments that provides the blogger’s name and URL, and I will be sure to check them out!!]

I am now accepting requests for YOU to be a Featured Follower in my Feature with Followers posts!! (Yes, YOU, reading this!!) For more details, click HERE.

THIS WEEK’S FEATURED FOLLOWER…CAN YOU GUESS WHO IT IS???

  • This blogger has recently become a good friend
  • “_____ had a little lamb”…answer that nursery rhyme and you’ll have her name!!

Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books!!!

ABOUT MARIE: HI everyone! I’m Marie, 22 (just like the Taylor Swift song…still waiting to feel that way😂), almost with a masters’ degree in writing/communication. I love reading a lot of books and fangirling about them, planning and travelling a lot, eating chocolate. I live in France but my favorite place in the world is London.

Make sure you stay till the end because there is WAY more to share about Marie than this! 😉

Q&A WITH MARIE

ME: When did your blogging journey begin and why did you decide to start?

MARIE: My blogging journey began back at the end of November 2014, and, if I’m being completely honest, I don’t know really how it all started. I just felt like I needed a place on my own, to talk about the books I loved, to share my thoughts on them, and just, to try and write a little bit more, as well, because I missed writing, a lot. I wanted a place that reflected my personality and my reading taste just as much. So, one one evening in November, I started Drizzle & Hurricane Books on a little corner of the internet. It took me a bit of time to know how I was going to do this, and I really, really got into the whole blogging craziness in January 2015.

ME: How’d you come up with the name, ‘Drizzle & Hurricanes Books’?

MARIE: Well, the name is such a hard part, really, and at first I had absolutely NO idea how I would call my blog. I was so scared of getting sick of it after just a few days. It kind of hit me while I was looking at my walls (my walls are filled with pictures and bookish quotes), and I saw that famous John Green one. “If people were rain, I was drizzle, and she was a hurricane”. I liked the idea of getting my name from my favorite book of all times…and I thought, while reading that, that some books really are like drizzle, and others are hurricane, just completely MESSING you up because they are clearly, hurricane entering our lives.

[Ahhhhh, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! I was telling Marie all about this when we were chatting, but I freakin’ love John Green and I adore the concept behind her username all together. I wish I would’ve thought of something like that… xD]

ME: You’re walking in a forest and you found a black suitcase. Inside it holds 1 million dollars and a piece of paper stained in blood with a single word “Don’t”. Would you take the suitcase home or leave it? If you take it home, what do you do with the money? If you leave it, why?

MARIE: If I were one of these characters in books and had no fear or be a kind of Katniss Everdeen courageous person, obviously I would take the suitcase home, and I would share the money with my beloved, my family, buy TONS of books and TRAVEL ❤

But, since I am, well…. me, haha, I probably would be way too scared, look at the suitcase for a long time, then take off running because I’d be way too scared 😂😂 (and let’s be honest, my brains would already imagine CRAZY scenarios just by seeing this).
[After this question, Marie and I took a few minutes to talk about crime shows, so that was pretty cool, lol.]
ME: What does your ideal future look like in 15 years? (This can be in regards to career, living space, or everything! Your choice!)
MARIE: I think my ideal future would be to be able to travel, a lot, and talk about books on a daily basis, (hopefully make a career out of it) and write a lot as well. If I’m being honest, I’d make a career out of writing and fangirling about books, kind of like on the EpicReads team or something. As for living, well, I’d want to have the people I love close-by, and a WHOLE ROOM DEDICATED TO BOOKS ❤
[Yaasss, every book nerd’s dream is to have a whole room, house, closet, etc. FULL of books (or is it just us??? Are we crazy??? 😉 )]
ME: Since it is the 6th month of the year, what are 6 things that you cannot possibly live without?
MARIE: I’m going to say, my family, my favorite books, my cellphone (it’s sad, but well), my lucky jewelry I wear everyday, ahah, and, hm…my passport? To get away, ahah 😳😃

and LOVE obviously, family love, friends love, love love, just the feeling of being surrounded by people I love and exchange and have great times and conversations (this obviously includes bookish people as well :p)

Talking with Marie was such a great time. I enjoyed getting to know her better via Twitter because I REALLY got to “chat” with her, instead of just sending emails back and forth. Everything she said, or technically typed, either made me laugh, think, or fangirl so you could say we got to know each other a little bit xD She is such a wonderful person to talk to, so if you ever get the chance I would definitely recommend you visit her blog soon! She has a lot of forms of posts to offer, and yes, there ARE worth the read. 🙂

Speaking of blogs, Marie had just posted & released this A-MAZING idea that I just had to share with you guys!! Marie is hosting “Souvenirs From Across the World” for a few months, and the concept of the entire thing is just GENIUS. Here’s a little bit of what it’s about:

Souvenirs From Across The World is a feature made for book bloggers, but also bloggers in general and writers from all around the world. We are just SO many, and I have made such wonderful friends here. This feature is a way to share with each other something slightly different, a bit personal and unique with everyone. Since we’re from all around the world, this feature is created to get to know each other, and most especially each other’s culture, country, hometowns etc…”

If this doesn’t sound awesome, I don’t know what does. If you are interested in SFATW, click HERE for more details! I am definitely taking part in this for 1.) it sounds really fun, and 2.) it is a great way to communicate and share yourself with other people around the world.

If you want to follow Marie on other forms of media, feel free to check out her social media listed below! Just simply click on the icon and you’ll be taken straight to her!

Thank you to Marie for taking the time to chat with me and share yourself with not just me, but also with the blogging community. I look forward to talking with you more via comments, Twitter, or anywhere! Oh, and in case you were wondering, YES, we are technically interweb friends now (even with our age difference xD ) ❤

Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next time…
