Top Ten Tuesday [#24]

Random Fact of the Day: Venus is the only planet that rotates clockwise.

It is has been a good couple weeks since I’ve posted a Top10T, so here I am again with a weekly post! I’m actually really excited to list this one, just because I love the topic itself.

[1.] (the most obvious reason) WE ALL LOVE THE SAME THING(S)

We all have this dying love for books and everything bookish, and I looooove that because this leads to OTHER reasons why I love you! [check out my pun below! 😉 ]

[2.] Everyone  (or mostly everyone) is so friendly & helpful.

Whenever I ask for advice, recommendations, or anything of that sort there is always someone who is willing to help. Whether it’s via Twitter or on the comments of my posts, fellow bloggers are so uplifting and supportive. Support is everything, and I really appreciate everyone that has helped my blog & I along the way ❤

[3.] There are diverse bloggers in the community.

I just recently started to branch out to other blogs that aren’t bookish, for the bookish ones themselves, you don’t see the same content in every blog. Yes, a ton of bloggers post Top Ten Tuesday, Stacking the Shelves, etc., but if you venture closer through their blogs, you notice differences and I love that people add their own unique twists to their posts/blogs.

[4.] The awesome giveaways.

I know this one may sound a little selfish, but I really do enjoy seeing/joining various giveaways. I’ve seen a lot of different giveaways, from swag to mystery boxes and the fact that people are generous enough to GIVE AWAY books is just as beautiful.

[5.] Everyone has their own reason for blogging.

I think this aspect is really refreshing because not everyone wants to blog because “they want to express themselves”. Since I’ve been hosting a FWF every week, I noticed that there are varying responses to “When did your blogging journey start and why did you decide to begin?” Some people have said that they started it with a friend, or they wanted to connect with other readers. And honestly, the different reasons are pretty interesting to me!

[6.] Different types of readers.

Not everyone is a YA reader, and with that I find some really intriguing book recommendations when I DON’T want to read YA. When I started to read New Adult, I went straight to certain blogs because I knew that they read NA. Even though I mostly read YA, it is nice to know that there are other types of readers/bloggers who post reviews on other genres.

[7.] The drama.

Yes, I love me some drama. Okay, maybe not necessarily the “drama” in particular, but just the idea of imperfection. I don’t like to be involved in the drama, but I like to know that the bookish community is NOT perfect. There is less tension to follow the mainstream, even when there is actual peer pressure going around. Everyone has their own voice and opinions, and I think that’s what ultimately causes conflict in any situation. The bookish community can be very biased and/or “cliquey”, and honestly that’s one thing I dislike about the community. However, like I said, our imperfections are what makes us…”us”. And that’s okay… 🙂

I have officially accepted that I can never reach an actual list of ten things, lol. Before I end this post I just wanted to say to all of the bookish community that I absolutely adore you guys and ALL your imperfections — externally and internally. You guys are entirely amazing and wonderful and beautiful and YOU…And I love that so, so much. I appreciate YOU and I love YOU and all that YOU do!!! ❤
