March Wrap-Up! (sort of?)

Random Fact of the Day: A snail can sleep for more than three years at a time.

Hello my beauties! Today on this wonderful Saturday I am here to post my March Wrap-Up. There isn’t too much to “wrap-up” considering I haven’t made too much progress since my last Wrap-Up, lol. Honestly, I don’t even know why I am posting this since nothing really changed…

Book Wise:

  • I am still reading The Revenants: The Odyssey Home by Scott Kauffman, Dark Places by Gillian Flynn, and NOW Popular: Vintage Wisdom for a Modern Geek by Maya Van Wagenen.
  • I needed a novel that could possibly lighten my mood in regards to reading, and yes, Van Wagenen did do that. However I am still not always in the mood to read (unfortunately).

If you want to check out my hopeful “progress” throughout this upcoming April, feel free to add me on Goodreads!

Art Related:

While I didn’t read much, I actually did paint/practice when I was on Spring Break. Here’s what I did:

The two drawings with the sun & clouds and the Marvel figures were final copies, however the other three were just me practicing with my watercolors and acrylics…

Before I get to this Month’s Top Posts, I did want to mention a few things:

  1. I am thinking of no longer posting TBR’s — I don’t really follow them anymore so I think I am going to start posting “Currently Reading” type posts starting in May? Any thoughts?
  2. Thank you to Reg @ She Latitude for shouting me out on your March Wrap-Up & April TBR! You are very kind 🙂
  3. This month I was contacted by Segilola Salami over on Goodreads and she asked ever-so kindly if I could share her book-related podcast on my blog. So if you are interested in supporting Indie authors and want the chance to win an ebook every week, definitely check out her site HERE or the page I designated for her HERE.
  4. I changed up my header photo themes for a few weekly posts such as Top Ten Tuesday, Which Cover Wednesday, and the Subscription Box posts! Below are a few of the samples:

I really like the contrast between those colors and the background of my blog…Thoughts?

  5. Totally understand about not posting TBRs, haha. I have a list but I very rarely stick to it myself, so each month I just try to give three that I’m most excited about… and even then I don’t always follow, unfortunately. I get distracted way too easily! 😛

And no worries about featuring your post on my wrap-up! It was an interesting discussion for sure. ❤

    • Haha yeah…I know a lot of people that have stopped posting them over the past year. I thought TBRs would actually help me stick with a “schedule”, but turns out it actually did the opposite, lol..

      Well, thank you again! 🙂
